In 2014, Family Health replaced its Brooklyn satellite with a newly renovated patient centered medical home at 3540 S. Hanover Street in 2014.  Phase 1 renovations constructed 8 exam rooms and a 2 chair dental suite.  Phase 2 will complete first renovations of additional exam rooms and behavioral health space for mental health and substance abuse treatment.  Our goal is to raise $250,000 to complete first floor renovations, and we need your help to reach that goal.

Dental services can be intimidating for some people; the sounds from dental equipment and the way that gums have to be numbed are intimidating to some people.  But not Ms. Johnson, a dental patient, who told everyone who would listen about her wonderful experience at FHCB.  Beginning with the kindness and concern of Anthony Clark at registration, Ms. Johnson felt at ease. She praised the dental assistant for making her feel very comfortable, and she gave rave reviews to the entire dental department for their teamwork and professional services.

Ms. Johnson wants you to know how much she appreciated the dental health care services at FHCB.  She said, “I don’t mind coming a long way to FHCB because I know I will be treated right!!”

That is music to the ears of Ms. Paula McLellan, FHCB CEO, who is a long time primary care and dental patient at the Brooklyn and Cherry Hill location.  According to Ms. McLellan, the service has to be good enough for her and her family in order to be good enough for the people we serve.   Over half the FHCB Board of Directors are patients of the health center, and they are committed to quality service in every department.
