Safe Streets is a dynamic program with a focus on ÷ at-risk neighborhoods in Baltimore to help deter violence with the help of community organization and public education. We have been tremendously successful at using various methods such as mediation, outreach and education to strengthen communities and restore safety in the streets. At this time we are looking for several strong individuals who are ready and eager to jump in and make a difference in the community.
The Site Supervisor is responsible for planning the day-to-day activities of the Safe Streets staff, reviewing current activities and interventions when necessary, connecting with resources from neighboring communities, building relationships with local youth, residents, business and community groups as well as hiring and recruiting for staffing when necessary. The Site Supervisor is responsible for meeting with law enforcement, community outreach workers, probation officers as well as identifying and diffusing potentially violent situations. High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of experience working with violence prevention, social work, youth development or equivalent. Excellent communication, experience or training in crisis intervention and extensive experience working with at-risk youth and gang members.
