Safe Streets is a dynamic program with a focus on ÷ at-risk neighborhoods in Baltimore to help deter violence with the help of community organization and public education. We have been tremendously successful at using various methods such as mediation, outreach and education to strengthen communities and restore safety in the streets. At this time we are looking for several strong individuals who are ready and eager to jump in and make a difference in the community.
The site Director is responsible for managing all Safe Streets staff including Violence Prevention Coordinator, Outreach Supervisor, and Outreach Workers. The Director is responsible for Community Mobilization ensuring that all Safe Streets communities develop a coalition mode up of key stakeholders to implement violence prevention strategies as well! The director is responsible for attending Safe Streets monthly meetings, submission of monthly reports to BCHD, communication with BCHD on site status and site evaluations. The Director The Safe Streets Site Director must possess a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
